Unusual and interesting photos Part Two

I  picked this photo from "Photojournalist of the year (smaller Markets)."  This photo got first place. I Chose this because i like the angle the photographer chose, to have the book cover, covering the boys face and how he chose black and white.
I think the photographer had to make sure that the cover of the book was well aligned to fit the boys face, so it can have the illusion that its his face.

This other photo was chosen from "Portrait Series" and also got 1st place. I chose this photo because i like the posture the guy is in, his face expression goes well with the black and white. I also like how the photographer chose to do a closeup instead of a long shot.

This photo was chosen from "Environment (nature, wildlife) picture story" this also got 1st place. I chose this mostly because it is focused on the problem, the cows aren't getting what they need so they're underweight. I like how the photographer was able to have a dark background indicating that its a negative thing as he/she chose to take the photo of their bodies.

Great Black and White photographers

This Photo By Cindy Sherman is one of my favorites. I love the scene, the boardwalk on the background, and her style and posture. Not many centered photos look good.
I like the position of his hands. The direction he is looking and how there is space in front of his face which is taken by the smoke form the cigarette that he is holding.
Photo is by: Yousuf Karsh
This is also another of my favorites, mostly because i love music and the setting is beautiful. Everything on thr background is eye catching but not as much as the musician on the edge of a cliff. This picture was taken by: Robert Doisneau

Unusual and Interesting photos

1. I think his work is different, in a good way. I like the effects on most of his pictures.
2. I think he could've taken a normal picture and used photoshop to  make the effects of the buildings sliding side to side. He could've also changed the shutter speed on the camera to make a "ghost" like effect and tilt the camera.
3. Looking at the buildings from Here in Austin, i think the frost bank would be a good one to use for a picture like that, or the newest building which is also the tallest. Since they're in Austin, there should be no problem, trying to access them.
