What
i really liked about the powerpoint pictures is the color. I was amazed
about the distance between the photographer and the animals, mostly
because they're wild animals. I really loved all his photos but my favorites were all the ones with lions.
I
like the simplicity of the photo. There's not much going on in the
background, so the tree reflects off the sky and the lion reflects from
the horizon. I also liked how the tree is growing to the right and the
lion has his head turned looking the opposite direction.
I
believe the rules that were used on this photo were simplicity, and
balance. Simplicity, because there isn't much action in photo besides
the Lion and tree. Balance, because the tree seems to form a triangular
shape with the lion inside it.
The photographer, Nick Brandt uses a
Pentax 67II film camera. He wants to show his love towards wild animals
through photography. He doesn't use a telephoto lens because he believes
being close to the animals shows more character. He hopes to show the animals in their natural habitat. "To me, every creature, human or nonhuman, has an equal right to live,
and this feeling, this belief that every animal and I are equal, affects
me every time I frame an animal in my camera."
I think it would be a good idea to use both a camera and a phone to take photos.
Having the photos somewhere in the entrance of the school would be cool or by the art room.
MURAL PROJECT
I think street art would be an awesome idea also, I've always loved
art and that's what i love to take pictures of, mostly graffiti, street
art, stencils and so on. I think it would be a good idea to use both a camera and a phone to take photos.
