Front Pages of the World

My favorite newspaper was theTemple Daily Telegram from Temple, Texas. I like how there are many stories which you can chose to read on the front page.

"More than the Lords work on sundays" is my favorite headline mostly because i wanted to know what they were talking about, it caught my attention.

There are 5 stories on the front page of this news paper.

All newspaper stories have the same font and size. All of them have a big photo somewhere on the top with the main story to go along with it.

Some front pages just have a photo and a bit of writing, almost looks like a magazine. They all have a different font for their headline and the title of their newspaper. Some have more stories than others.

Who: charrin in the saint Bernard
what: slobbering over hamburger in front of him
when: yesterday, april 15
where: animal show for commercial
why: he's a famous dog
Hl: Hamburger Drooling
For a perfect commercial shot, Charrin drools all over the place as he looks at a juicy hamburger.
Sadly he didn't get his hamburger, instead he was stuffed with treats.

Lenses and Photography Vocabulary

I would use a telephoto lens to capture an object that is very far.I would use a prime lens to take a photo at night, maybe if I'm at  apart with low light. I would use a wide-angle lens to capture a landscape shot, or maybe a big festival like coachella. Depth of Field (shallow and wide)- What is in focus.Light (angle and intensity)- How much light that is in the photo. This can be useful when you're in a dark area, you need more light.Shadows- Where there is no light. Normally you'd want to avoid shadows.
Diffusion- lowering the light.
Exposure- If your photo is too bright or too dark, depending on how it looks.
Aperture (f-stop)- how much light you want to enter through lens, and how much blur will show on the photo.
Shutter speed- How fast you want the lens to open which will determine the amount of light that will enter as well. This works well when you need a photo of something moving, the faster the shutter speed the less movement there will be.
ISO- How much light you need in the photo. If its really sunny outside you can lower the ISO so there won't be much light in your photo, the higher the ISO the more light there will be.

Magazine covers

Early magazine covers started out with the first story as a cover, there wasn't really a cover so the title of an article was good enough. Eventually there would be some kind of symbol on the front, but they didn't show what would be on the magazine. Just a title and a photo, maybe a few words for caption or so. In the late 1800s they began to experiment with magazine covers, they added more artistic graphics and less words.
From the late 1800s to mid 1900s magazine covers were improving, but were oversized. Most of the covers weren't related to stories in the magazines, most of them were just a figure of art and they were good looking. At the time there was very little words on the covers, possibly one word. Many of posters were used for magazine covers. "Life" magazine also used poster photos as magazine covers, they also had "life" in big bold letters at the top. At this point more of the photos started making sense. Most covers lead up to the main stories in the magazines. You knew more of what will be in the magazine, so it would be easier to have a magazine of your preference.
In the late 1800s magazine covers were changing drastically. Art was still being used for covers, but more words were on covers. More teasers and more information about articles in the magazine were being hinted on the cover. Cover lines were heavily used, both primary and secondary.

Shadows- the absence of light

Diffusion- decreasing the intensity of the  light.

Exposure- what your photo looks like? too light, too dark, or in between?

2012

I really liked the colors on this photo, you can see everything , its very detailed, i like how the whole photo has something going on.

I loved how everything on the photo is still except the red light that has motion. I like how you can see the stars also.
This photo was my favorite because its simply amazing! You can see the stars in the back, you can see the earth and the eclipse. Very simple but it looks amazing.

Ive always been a fan of Calvin Harris ever since he was in the band, so of course i would chose him as doing the best in music in 2012. He still keeps his style and is pretty funny on twitter, other than that he is one of the best Dj/ Producers/ Singer out there. He doesn't only have one style, he likes different things which you can tell when you listen to all of his music. His new album, is just as great as his previous one.

I honestly thought this was one of the greatest movies of 2012. It was funny, some things you can relate to, and its fun just watching it. Its like if you're in the movie cause everything is so realistic. You forget its a movie cause thats definitely something anyone can do in their backyard.

I don't know why this is even an issue, but of course i picked this as the biggest news in 2012. Mostly cause i find it amazing how many people don't want gay marriage, i don't see anything wrong with it, they're 2 people in love and i should never be illegal to marry the person you love. Considering Washington, Maine, and Maryland were the first to make Gay marriage legal, thats something we love to hear, especially these people who finally got to get married.
